On October 15, 2025, the “Automotive Supply Chain Globalization: New Technology, New Scenarios, New Services — Europe-Africa Session” was successfully held in Shenzhen, jointly organized by China EV100 and the Going Global Super Platform (G100). The event brought together government representatives, industry experts, and corporate representatives including Geely Auto, Voyah, Desay SV, SF International, and Orient Securities, to discuss new opportunities and challenges in the globalization of China’s automotive industry.

Dr. Hong, managing partner of Shanghai Sunway Law Firm, was invited to speak in the “New Services” session. Centering on the theme “Industry Going Global, Services Take the Lead,” sharing new perspectives on building a one-stop aggregated service system, which resonated widely among the attendees.

Upgrading the Go-Global Service Model: From Fragmented Response to Systematic Empowerment

Dr. Hong pointed out that as China’s automotive industry accelerates its global expansion, the central question is how to go global steadily and sustainably. However, many enterprises still adopt a fragmented and reactive service approach addressing problems only as they arise — resulting in high costs, low efficiency, and unmanaged risks. She also noted that the State Council’s Meeting on September 12 highlighted the need to “improve comprehensive overseas service systems,” providing clear direction for upgrading the industry’s service model.

Innovative Solution: Building an “Aggregated, One-Stop, and Fast-Response” Service Ecosystem

Addressing these challenges, Dr. Hong suggested that services should take the lead in driving industrial globalization, with the core objective of establishing a “one-stop aggregated go-global service platform.”

She emphasized that “aggregation” is not simply an intermediary coordination, but rather the integration of key resources to build a comprehensive, full-cycle service ecosystem. This system encompasses the wide range of challenges faced by enterprises in their international expansion, including investment structuring, data compliance, ESG governance, market analysis, marketing strategy, intellectual property, overseas investment and financing, supply chain finance, cross-border settlement, global logistics, warehousing networks, and crisis management.

At the same time, the platform should maintain rapid-response capabilities, enabling enterprises to effectively address policy shifts, contractual disputes, and unforeseen risks.

In alignment with the salon’s Europe-Africa focus, Dr. Hong shared insights and practical cases on the Europe-Africa linkage mechanisms, illustrating how such mechanisms and aggregated service models can help mitigate risks and resolve cross-border challenges.

Call for Industry Collaboration: Building a Strong Overseas Service Network

Dr. Hong concluded by emphasizing that building a full-cycle service system requires joint efforts across the industry.

She encouraged institutions such as China EV100 and G100 to take the lead in integrating enterprise and professional resources to build a comprehensive overseas service support network, safeguarding the global expansion of China’s automotive industry.

Moving forward, Sunway Law Firm will continue to work closely with industry partners to help China’s automotive supply chain enterprises go global with strength and stability.
